Who I am
Alexander D'Agostino is a photographer based in the New York metropolitan area whose work explores the relationship between people, place, and contemporary life. His photography has received international recognition through exhibitions, publications, and awards, including a Silver Award in the People category at the 2026 reFocus Color Photography Awards. His work has been featured by VSCO, Woofer Magazine, The Capa Space, and a range of regional, national, and international publications.
D'Agostino exhibits throughout the United States in both solo and juried exhibitions. His photographs have been presented at the Greenwich Botanical Center, Carriage Barn Arts Center, Dusk Gallery in Santa Fe, Rowayton Arts Center, Stamford Art Association, and Milford Arts Council, and are held in private collections across the country.
Working across documentary photography, street photography, portraiture, and landscape imagery, D'Agostino is drawn to the quiet moments that often pass unnoticed. Through careful observation, he explores how people interact with their surroundings and how ordinary environments can reveal deeper narratives about identity, community, and contemporary experience. Using color, atmosphere, and composition, his photographs transform familiar scenes into enduring observations of everyday life.
Alongside his exhibition practice, D'Agostino collaborates with editorial, commercial, and cultural organizations throughout the region.
